We are on the way

The last week has been great at NeighborWood. We have access to Urban Growth Timber from Evanston, Skokie, Chicago, Lake Forest, Glencoe, Wilmette, Highland Park and are working on a few others.  The amount of useable timber that comes from metropolitan environments is amazing, we will have access to over 1 million board feet of timber this year.  And, this is truly the only real sustainable source of timber! Wood from forests grown for their wood, still has a negative effect on our environment.  Most, if not all, city forestry departments have a tree replanting program in place to replace those fallen trees caused from storms or for safety reasons.  -Brian
